Maandag starten we weer!

Beste ouder(s)verzorger(s),

We hanteren ‘bubbels’

Dear parent(s) and guardian(s),

On behalf of the Boschuil team, we wish you a very good and healthy 2022! Hopefully you have enjoyed the holidays and the children are looking forward to start Monday just like us.

3 January we were waiting in suspense for the ruling of the government on whether or not to open the schools on January 10. We are very happy with the outcome. It is very important for the children that education and social development continue.

It does mean, however, that we must all ensure that we organise this in a good and responsible manner. You may expect from the Boschuil team that, within the rules prescribed by the GGD and the RIVM, we will do everything we can to prevent the virus from spreading. Hopefully we may also expect from you to take your responsibility.

Below, the most important points of attention are listed.

General guidelines
  • School staff and students stay at home in case of complaints until a negative test result (PCR-, antigen- or self-test) has been received. The decision tree for this is leading (attached in the appendix).
  • If a housemate, family member or other close contact is infected with the coronavirus, all housemates go into quarantine.
  • We will wash hands regularly, ventilate indoor areas well and we will not shake hands.
  • As adults, we keep 1.5m distance from each other.
  • Adults and pupils in group 6, 7 and 8 wear a mouth mask when moving around the school.
  • Staff and pupils in group 6, 7 and 8 are preventively tested twice a week by means of a self-test (new self-tests are distributed on Mondays).

Bringing and pick up the children
  • Please be on time so that lessons can start at 08.30am.
  • We would like to ask you to bring or pick up your children with one adult at a time, so not with two or more.
  • If you bring your child to school, please leave immediately afterwards (kiss & ride).
  • When you pick up your child, we would like to ask you to keep a distance from each other and from the door where your child comes out. We want to keep the distance there as well.

We use 'bubbles'
  • We see the Boschuil as a school bubble. People from outside, including parents and/or carers, do not come into the school unless they have to. We have contact with each other by email, telephone or video calling.
  • The children work only in their own class bubble.

It's great that we can open again, but we must also realise that the pressure on education remains. Undoubtedly, classes will have to be quarantined again and staff will be regularly absent. We will do everything we can to get the classes occupied. Hopefully, we will not have to leave classes at home, but the reality is that this may happen. If necessary, we will immediately switch to online education. We will keep you informed of developments.

In the meantime, we will continue to teach and have fun with the children. Until next week, we are looking forward to it again!

With kind regards,
On behalf of the Boschuil team
